Due to our generous shipping rates, floorscalesonline.com can only accept orders shipping to the 48 continental United States.
Freight is a flat rate for all scales to commercial addresses via common carrier. Commercial addresses are those defined by our freight carrier as commercial sites. Typically these addresses are zoned as commercial real estate. With this standard shipment, it is your responsibility to get the product off of the truck without assistance.
Other Freight Services
We offer other freight services that you may need to be sure the shipment can be retrieved from the truck safely. Any charges incurred for Other Freight Services as described below are required upon delivery or if delivery is not possible must be paid by customer. We recommend selecting required options below to prevent any additional billing charges. Please keep in mind these options may delay shipment by 24 hours depending upon carrier availability. Receipts for shipping and handling charges will not be furnished. COD shipments are not permitted.
Call Before Delivery - $50
The trucking company will call in advance of their delivery time to be sure receiving departments with limited resources and residential customers can be prepared to receive the shipment.
Commercial Address with Liftgate - $95
To qualify for this rate, the address must meet the terms of a commercial address, as defined above. Freight carriers prevent their drivers from assisting with the unloading of heavy equipment other than to lower it via the liftgate to ground level. Liftgate delivery is provided for those businesses not equipped with a loading dock.
Residential Address with Liftgate Service - $150
Most residential deliveries via common carrier should choose this method. Freight carriers prevent their drivers from assisting with the unloading of heavy equipment other than to lower it via the liftgate to ground level. Please have the necessary manpower available to receive your items with limited delay to the driver.
Shipping and Product Availability Policy
Floorscalesonline.com ships products via Motor Freight and provide a tracking number so you can track the progress of your order at any time. We ship all floor scales and accessories in stock within 24 hours of order confirmation. Orders placed on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be shipped on the following Monday. In the event that the Monday is a holiday, the order will ship on Tuesday instead.
Carrier Product Damage Policy
Due to improper handling by the freight carrier, occasionally our product may arrive in a damaged condition. We make every effort to ensure that the product is packaged correctly and leaves in perfect condition.
IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INSPECT THE FREIGHT CAREFULLY AND, IF YOU NOTICE ANY DAMAGES OR MISSING ITEMS, MAKE A NOTATION OF THIS ON THE CARRIER’S DELIVERY DOCUMENTS. If you are not sure whether or not there is any damage or missing items, write “Condition Unknown” on the delivery documents. If you later discover damages, the freight carrier can not be held responsible, and you be responsible for paying the costs to restore the product to like new condition.
If damage is discovered AND properly documented on the carrier’s shipping receipt, contact Floorscalsonline.com immediately and keep all the original packaging material. The freight carrier’s representative will need to see this for the inspection process. We also recommend photographing the damages and packing material for additional documentation and proof of loss.
If customer refuses delivery due to excessive freight damage, FloorScalesOnline shall have the right to re-ship the identical product at no additional cost to customer, using the same or a different carrier at FloorScalesOnline’s discretion.
